New Chevy Silverado Gets Its Own Color-Changing Halo Headlights

By Sharon R. Lee

Chevy's latest Silverado is getting its own halo headlights for the first time, and it's a pretty cool feature.

The lights can change between red, white, and blue with the press of a button, so you can match your ride to your mood.

They're available on LTZ and High Country trims for now but will be part of an update that makes all Silverados have them by 2023.

The Chevy Silverado is the latest to get its own halo headlights. The new feature, available on the LTZ and High Country trims of the truck, can be changed between red, white, and blue with the press of a button. They're kind of like a neat interior trick to show off!

Chevy has been experimenting with halo headlights for a while now. Last year's Camaro ZL1 had them as an option. The C7 Corvette Z06 also uses these lights in place of traditional bulbs.

The first carmaker to adopt halo headlights was BMW when they introduced their i8 plug-in hybrid supercar back in 2014 (which we have reviewed here).

It will be available on the LTZ and High Country trims for now.

The color-changing headlight is available on the LTZ and High Country trims, so it's not a mainstream feature just yet. However, Chevy says that other trims will get the option in the future.

The halo headlamps are a $1,695 option for those trucks that get them—that’s about half the cost of the High Country edition with its premium trim package.

They can change between red, white, and blue with the press of a button.

The Silverado’s new halo headlights are a great feature for truck owners who want to add a bit of flair to their vehicles.

The lights can be changed between red, white and blue with the press of a button on the dashboard. You can even set it up so that they change color when you start your engine, or whenever you unlock the truck using your key fob.

If you own a Silverado, this is definitely something worth checking out! It adds another layer of customization that lets you pick exactly how you want your truck to look from top to bottom.

A neat interior trick to show off!

You may not know it, but your Chevy Silverado (in LTZ and High Country trims) has a neat trick up its sleeve for showing off. The headlights can change color to match the rest of the vehicle’s exterior.

This is possible thanks to a new feature called Halo Lighting that adjusts the intensity and color of your headlights via an app on your phone.

When you’re not using them, they turn into normal halogen bulbs, but when turned on they shift from yellow to white depending on what you have selected in the app which is pretty cool!

Conclusion

We love the new color-changing halo headlights on the Chevy Silverado. It’s a great way to show off your truck, and they look really neat in action.

The best part is that they come standard! If you want these on your truck, all you have to do is select them when ordering or at the dealership after purchase.
